SURYA POWER INDUSTRIES COPPER BONDED EARTHING ELECTRODES

Copper Bonded Chemical Earthing Electrodes are grounding systems used to safely dissipate electrical fault currents and lightning surges into the earth. They are a vital part of electrical systems, especially in industrial, commercial, and high-rise residential settings.

 Key Features:

  1. Copper Bonded:
    • The electrode consists of a steel core rod (usually mild steel) that is molecularly bonded with 99.9% pure electrolytic copper.
    • Bonding thickness ranges from 100 to 250 microns depending on standards.
    • Provides high corrosion resistance and a longer life span compared to GI (Galvanized Iron) rods.
  2. Chemical Earthing:
    • These electrodes are used with backfill compounds such as bentonite, graphite, or carbon-based earthing enhancers.
    • The compounds retain moisture and reduce the soil resistance around the electrode.
  3. Low Resistance to Earth:
    • Provides consistent and low resistance values, even in rocky or sandy soils.
  4. Maintenance-Free:
    • Once installed correctly, they require little to no maintenance over many years.

 Standard Sizes:

               100 to 250 µm

76-100 mm

             1m - 3m

               100 to 250 µm

(Larger or custom sizes available based on application.)

 Applications:

  • Electrical substations
  • Data centers
  • Telecommunications
  • Solar power plants
  • High-rise buildings
  • Hospitals and sensitive electronics systems

 Advantages:

  • High conductivity & durability
  • Better thermal and electrical conductivity than GI electrodes
  • Uniform dissipation of fault currents
  • Anti-corrosive and long-lasting
  • Environmentally safe chemical backfills

Earthing Compound (Backfill Enhancer):

  • Ensures moisture retention around the electrode
  • Reduces soil resistivity
  • Eco-friendly and non-corrosive
